Hi! I’m Erin M. Wood. I’ve been an artist since a very early age when my Mom put colored pencils in my hand and suggested I draw my dolls. At first, I didn’t think I could do it but she insisted I could. She taught me to believe I could do something I never did before by teaching myself how to do it. Since then, I’ve always found art to be the most effective way to express myself. Art continues to teach me to persevere.

In 2001, I graduated from Florida State University where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Studio Art.

In 2014, I painted several dog portraits as gifts for friends along with several portraits of my own dog and I grew to love recreating the animal spirit with paint. I have since painted many pet portraits for clients around the U.S. in an ever-changing style that blends reality with the abstract. Each portrait is a true heartfelt expression of the animal I see in photos.

I’m a South Florida native living in Jupiter, FL with my husband and canine best friend, Junior. Lately I’ve been inspired by Florida wildlife and drawn to capturing it’s spirit on my canvas with my signature colorful palette.
